Creating a Social Media Presence for Your Business

Most adults use social media every day, making it a critical part of any business strategy. Social media has become an easy way for individuals to connect to their family and friends and connect to their favorite businesses. But as a business, a large social media following doesn’t instantly happen overnight. If your business lacks a social media presence, the following tips can help you boost audience engagement, build brand awareness, and help your business reach new markets.

Create a Plan

Social media tools are easy to use and can help you start creating organic posts. But any business owner knows you can just jump right in, and you need to make a plan! The same can be said when posting on social media.

Without creating a social media plan, you will have no clear goal of what you’re trying to accomplish with your posts. Your social media plan should be SMART, specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely, and should be built around goals and metrics that will impact your business.

Pick Your Platforms

It’s essential to pick your business’s right channels with hundreds of social media platforms out there. Do not assume that most of your audience just spends time on one specific channel. It’s also important to make sure you are hitting the right channels to target your specific audience. Most people are on the seven major social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Reddit, but that does not mean that all seven of those platforms are right for your business.

Know and Grow the Audience

To find your target audience, it’s important to start compiling data on your current customer base and then dig even deeper by looking at social media analytics. Once you start developing a better understanding of who your business is serving, you’ll be able to gain a better picture of who you should be interacting with online.

Once you have a clearer picture of your audience, circle back to your social media plan, and look for ways to reach more people that fit your audience profile. Businesses will often use this as an opportunity to test ads on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. If your business serves a local customer base, make sure these ads target individuals within a range of your business location!

5 Tips for Getting Your Business Involved in the Community

Building a positive reputation and presence in the marketplace is a top priority for any business. Community involvement is becoming a valuable mechanism for business owners. Here are five tips for businesses’ participation in local communities.

Focus on Real Local Needs

Many communities have an array of outlets for volunteering and contributing to the betterment of the local area. When you select ways for your business to get involved in the local community, look for real needs in the community. Get to know the populations within your community, such as homeless, underprivileged children, animals in shelters, and other demographics. Speak with your customers and employees to learn about what they value and how they would like to see the community improve.

Engage Your Employees

Your employees will be deeply involved in many community activities, so they need to feel passionate about their efforts. Share your vision for how you hope to help the local community and get them excited about the activities you have planned soon.

Be Consistent and Dependable

Once you commit to a neighborhood or non-profit, consistency and dependability, arrive where you promised to be and on time. Also, make sure that your group of employees act with the same attitude and stay positive throughout the event. People take notice of people’s attitudes during community events, and you want your staff to be compassionate, supportive, and happy to get involved.

Celebrate the Involvement

You want to reward your employees for taking time from their personal lives to represent your business in the community. Make sure to set aside time for recognition and employee events. Share how your business involved in the community enhanced people’s lives and give credit to the staff who showed dedication, leadership, and good interpersonal skills.

Invite New Opportunities

After you do your first community event, let other organizations in the community know that you would like to support them as well. You can also continue to work with the same organizations to coordinate the next event. This demonstrates a true commitment to the local community and shows that you stand ready to help out in any possible way.

Indulge in the Good Life

We all want to be successful, but measuring “success” is different for everyone. For some, that means starting a business, earning a hefty salary, publishing a book, winning a gold medal or traveling the world. No matter how you measure success, it all starts and ends the same: hard work.

Why We Work Hard

Working hard pays off. The nature of work presents challenges and growth opportunities, which requires us to improve. We work too many hours, wake up early, stay up late, are the first to arrive, and the last one to leave. Success does not happen by chance, and if success were free, everyone would have it. Few people actually become successful because they fail to work hard. While working hard on what you believe in, you find the true value and meaning of success.

Success Takes Discipline

It is essential to remember that success also comes with failure. Successful entrepreneurs are not successful because they got lucky. Rather they learned how to build a business, run a company, organize their time, and earn a profit because they took a chance and learned from their mistakes. Success does not stem from a lack of determination; together with the time it takes, hard work is a must on your journey to success.

Results from Hard Work

Since failure is part of the success journey, you will learn how to persevere. Be sure to stay focus on your end-goal as well as take notice of the progress you are making. The best measure of success is results, and nothing brings more results on a consistent basis than hard work. Seeing results makes you feel accomplished, thankful and satisfied with what you’re doing. That makes the whole process of hard work worthwhile, and you find the strength to continue.

Personal Success

I have worked hard my entire life because I strive for success. Throughout my life, I have paved my way in a variety of industries, including automotive, staffed event, direct mail marketing, and now, group fitness. My hard work has paid off because I have founded two successful businesses which allowed me to give back to my community as well as live a comfortable life. Due to my hard work, I have been able to purchase a 78’ Ferretti Yacht, named INDULGE. I have worked hard my whole life to achieve that, and now I have the luxury of traveling between New Orleans, Tampa, and Orange Beach on my yacht.

If you’re willing to work hard, challenge yourself, to put in the long hours, and to take a step back before making a giant leap forward – you’ll achieve anything you want to achieve!

CHAMPS BOXING™️ Sponsors Local Race

This past weekend, David Jeansonne and his latest venture CHAMPS BOXING™️ sponsored the fourth annual Bursting with Speed 5k and half mile race!

The Bursting with Speed event is held in memory of Benny Burst, a faith-filled family man, and an avid runner. Burst was a native of the New Orleans area. In June 2013, Burst was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and began chemotherapy. A few months later, Burst lost his fight, and that is why the Bursting with Speed race is held to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). The LLS is the largest voluntary health foundation devoted to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

The race is hosted by the New Orleans Track Club, a not-for-profit organization and a member of the Road Runners Club of America and USA Track & Field. Additionally, CHAMPS BOXING™️ and other local organizations were able to sponsor the event. Pre-registered participants were eligible to win cash prizes and gifts donated by CHAMPS BOXING™️ and other sponsors.

CHAMPS BOXING™️is proud to support its local community. To learn more about CHAMPS BOXING™️, visit their website at ChampsBoxing.com!

3 Helpful Tips for Starting a Business

Starting a business is challenging, and no successful entrepreneur starts a company overnight. While there is no perfect formula to follow to become a prosperous business owner, there are a few beginning steps that can set you up for long-term success. Here are my three helpful tips for starting a successful business.

1. Educate Yourself

Passion drives flourishing businesses, but no company can be successful without knowledge. This is why it’s vital to educate yourself on business practices and industry knowledge. Try to absorb everything that you can. Mike Kappel, the CEO of Patriot Software, LLC, recommends listening to what others have to say, including friends, family, and experts. By talking to others, conducting research and reaching out to experts in the field, you’ll gain helpful knowledge and advice. While you are learning, be sure to keep notes and start developing your business plans. Don’t forget to conduct research on target markets, estimate profits, and find out legal requirements. The more you learn initially will help develop your business success and hopefully prevent surprises down the road.

2. You’re Going to Need More Money

Cash flow is the lifeline of all businesses and an important measure of success, and you’re going need to a lot to start a company. Conducting research will help you determine how much it will cost for you to develop your product and service and what price you need to sell at to make money. Brad Sugars, the founder and chairman of ActionCOACH, suggests overestimating expenses and underestimate revenues. “I’ve never seen a startup business where expenses were at least 30 percent more than initially planned or anticipated, and revenues are at least that much less.” Sugars writes. It also may be necessary to contact investors for business funds.

3. Take Advantage of Free Resources

As a startup, you’re going to have limited funds, so take advantage of free resources. Whether you need help creating a website, developing a logo, or making business cards, there are so many free sources that you can use. There are free resources that can help build a business profile, create a website, develop social media practices, help track productivity, and even assist with accounting and payroll needs.

Becoming a business owner, especially a successful one, takes much more than just following these three tips. However, educating yourself, managing cash flows, and using free tools are great beginning steps to take. Success does not come overnight, but these tips can help get you started.

Football season is here! And so are the hurricanes…

The Saints’ first game is tomorrow in Minnesota and David is certainly looking forward to this Sunday, where the Saints will host the New England Patriots in the Superdome!
David is very pleased to announce that he will be flying in four special clients and their spouses to join him and some local friends and family in his suite for the game. It will be a fun weekend, and as David says: “We will be making memories!”
On a somber note, the sales and production office located in Tampa is weathering hurricane Irma along with the rest of the state of Florida. David’s heart, head and hands are certainly stretched out to those families that help him and the rest of the team do what they do on a daily basis.
As David said: “We WILL pull the weight and carry their load until they are back in operation. And are back standing on both feet. Count on it. Life hands us good, great, and bad situations. Harvey hands Houston and its outlying areas an historical storm where our heaviest client base lives. Now we are dealing with Irma as she comes up the entire state of Florida which is where our heaviest employee base lives. We will continue to stand tall and lean forward until this breaks. Better days to come, God speaks this. Our resilience through these troubles will continue to define who we are!”

New Traffic Jam Events Office!

David Jeansonne recently upgraded the Traffic Jam Events Tampa office with a new office building!

With the steadily increasing business that Traffic Jam Events has been experiencing, David realized the Tampa location needed a larger space to keep up with demand. The new building adds a variety of features, including a full-size Conference/Training Room, an expanded Creative Department and a much larger Sales Department.

“After reviewing this year’s numbers and next year’s projections, it was a no-brainer,” David said. “In order to continue our role as a leading automotive marketing firm, we needed a bigger space and more staff to handle the increasing business.”

David Jeansonne’s Farewell to ViP School Bus

As ViP School Bus continues its journey under new management, David Jeansonne expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the company:

davidjeansonnefarewell

“After four and a half incredible years of memories, fun and prosperity, I’m saying goodbye to the ViP School Bus. The company is transitioning to new ownership, and the buses will continue to proudly serve the New Orleans area.

I’m genuinely grateful for all the love and support I received during my time as owner. I’ll always be proud of the Bus’ collaboration with the Make-a-Wish foundation, helping to turn children’s wishes into reality.

Though it was an extremely difficult decision to move on from ViP School Bus, I am 100% confident that the company will continue to offer the same incredible service as it has for years under my management.

Good luck ViP School Bus, and best wishes for the future!”
