Creating a Workplace Mentorship Program

One of the most valuable assets that a business organization has is the employees. For an organization to meet its target and maximize revenue, there must be teamwork. A company’s success depends on many factors, one among them being how happy the employees are. Many successful brands have a way of keeping their employees motivated. One of the best-proven methods utilized by companies is through the implementation of a mentorship program.

Tips for a Successful Workplace Mentorship Program

Workplace mentorship programs may vary from one organization to another, depending on the need of every organization. However, there exist common tips when formulating a successful program. Some of these tactics include the following;

Outline the Mentorship Objectives

Before a mentorship program is formulated, the business owners should clearly define what they want to achieve with the program. The primary objective of numerous mentorship programs is the improvement of employees’ performance. However, different organizations may have varied reasons for the program. If an organization’s objective is to create new leaders, the mentorship program must be strictly designed for leadership only.

Plan the Mentoring Process

Here, the program owners should decide on the best way to implement the program. Some of the key considerations include; the number of mentees expected to sign up for the program, how long the program will take, how to evaluate the program’s impact, and so on. A lot of brainstorming is required in this process.

Selection of the Beneficiaries and Stakeholders of the Program

The mentorship program’s objective should be the criteria used to decide who will participate in the mentoring program. The owners of the program should decide whether beneficiaries will need to make formal applications or not. The process may also involve assessing skills and areas of weaknesses to establish the best criteria for selection. The mentors of the program may also be selected.

Matching of Mentors with Mentees

After successfully selecting the program participants, the next task is matching the mentors with mentees. Mentors should have professional qualifications that match with mentees to impart meaningful skills and experience.

Provision of Mentorship

When everything has been kept in check, the mentorship program ought to be implemented. By the end of the program, companies should find a way of evaluating the impact of their mentorship program.

How to Successfully Rebrand Your Business

Every business owner strives to keep the fire burning for as long as possible. Over time, disasters happen, new trends develop, and new technologies are created that make it harder for some businesses to stay afloat. The following are tips to consider for rebranding a business.

Change the Focus

Rebranding the business must include changing the company’s mission and values. The purpose is to reevaluate the importance of the company and how relevant it is in the current marketplace. Its owners must focus on what people want by improving their customer relationship management system.

Make Small Changes

There could be a number of reasons why a business wants to rebrand. Customers may have complained about the logo, and the Web designers may want to increase traffic to the website, etc. Whatever aspect of the company needs to be changed, it’s important to make small, gradual changes to determine how the public will react. It’s not practical to rush into launching a campaign that creates even more problems than before.

Experiment With the Design

When creating a new logo and slogan, experiment with every aspect, such as design, color, and size. The first step is to choose a new brand that customers will respond favorably to without making any assumptions. A graphic designer or two should perform plenty of experimentation using advanced software and ask for opinions from the company’s staff. The new design should be a collective effort from the customers, owners, managers, and employees.

Promote the New Brand

The final step is to inform everyone of the new brand and present it as a significant improvement. Start the rebranding campaign by reaching out to customers on social media, the company’s website, advertisements everywhere, etc. Monitoring the public’s reaction is essential, along with monitoring future sales and profits resulting from this change.

The days of giving up and walking away from a failing business are over. There is never a good reason to give up entirely when there is the option to rebrand from the ground up. It starts by knowing what caused the original brand to fail and then knowing what the customers want in the new business.

5 Tips for Creating a Business Strategy in 2021

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, some businesses are reopening. In some states, there has been business closure causing uncertainty. Moreso, business owners have to reduce customer capacity in their shops. It has brought confusion about whether you can create a strategy in 2021. Here is what you can do to develop a business strategy this year.

Expand the Timeframe for Product Launch

You need to extend the product launch schedule due to certain elements. Lack of raw materials and personnel means that introducing new products to the market won’t be possible. Therefore, you need a new timeline to develop the items and launch them later. You can focus on marketing and labor to make the process effortless when the time comes.

Define Things to do

Due to inevitable uncertainties, you need to focus on the things that you can do. For example, if you have a physical shop, you can move the operations online. This way, you can start delivering goods to customers. You won’t be out of the market, and you will continue serving your clients.

Add Value to your Products or Services

Adding value to what you offer is a critical business strategy in 2021. For instance, you can provide a myriad of options for financial help to new customers. Payment plans that accept small cash flows will help you gain new buyers. Layaway is another idea that you can try to connect to your customers. Also, you need to share information about your products and services with customers.

Have Many Back-up Plans

You need to create a multi-plan approach to tackle challenges in your business. Having several back-up plans will help you glide through health concerns and reopening at a slow rate. You can also maneuver risks that come with business opening and closure after a short time. With experience from 2020, you can test your plans to transition seamlessly.

Make Changes and Improvements

You can use the available time and resources to improve your venture. You can start by going paperless and transforming into digital space. The highlight is that you can test whether the new strategy will work for you. When business eventually picks up, everyone will know how to handle technology. You will realize the benefits of connecting with customers using tech.

4 Key Tips for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

What do strong entrepreneurs do to achieve their success? While your business idea may be unique in many ways, there are always mentors you can learn from who’ve started businesses successfully and kept them going strong.

Whether your business is only a vague idea or you’re deep into building your career, these tips for aspiring entrepreneurs can help get your mind in the right place for success.

Understand Your Vision

See the future vision of your business from all sides. What does your average workday look like one year from now? Five years from now? What does customer experience look like? What is your business accomplishing? The more questions you can ask yourself about your vision, the clearer the picture will become. Keeping that vision in mind will keep you on the path toward creating it.

Surround Yourself With The Best People

You may have heard that you are an accumulation of the five people you are around the most. Surround yourself with supportive people and who are doing the kinds of things you want to do. This may mean working directly with them under your company. This may mean networking with people in your industry. It could also mean joining a group of people who get together to discuss their goals. If none of these are options, it can also mean following great people online and regularly listening to podcasts or checking out their content. Remind yourself that these people are doing great things, and so will you.

Know-How You Work Best

A crucial part of success for entrepreneurs is capitalizing on their strengths. Do you work best handling your email in the morning or afternoon? Do you need mid daybreak? Are you strong at specific tasks but could be best served by hiring a virtual assistant for others?

Know how you work best so you can do so with more ease.

Get Organized

You need to develop a clean and comfortable workflow as early as possible in your career. Many entrepreneurs develop systems like the one David Allen recommends in his book “Getting Things Done.” This book is just one example of ways productive entrepreneurs minimize their stress and maximize their productivity with systems for keeping their business and lives organized.

Indulge in the Good Life

We all want to be successful, but measuring “success” is different for everyone. For some, that means starting a business, earning a hefty salary, publishing a book, winning a gold medal or traveling the world. No matter how you measure success, it all starts and ends the same: hard work.

Why We Work Hard

Working hard pays off. The nature of work presents challenges and growth opportunities, which requires us to improve. We work too many hours, wake up early, stay up late, are the first to arrive, and the last one to leave. Success does not happen by chance, and if success were free, everyone would have it. Few people actually become successful because they fail to work hard. While working hard on what you believe in, you find the true value and meaning of success.

Success Takes Discipline

It is essential to remember that success also comes with failure. Successful entrepreneurs are not successful because they got lucky. Rather they learned how to build a business, run a company, organize their time, and earn a profit because they took a chance and learned from their mistakes. Success does not stem from a lack of determination; together with the time it takes, hard work is a must on your journey to success.

Results from Hard Work

Since failure is part of the success journey, you will learn how to persevere. Be sure to stay focus on your end-goal as well as take notice of the progress you are making. The best measure of success is results, and nothing brings more results on a consistent basis than hard work. Seeing results makes you feel accomplished, thankful and satisfied with what you’re doing. That makes the whole process of hard work worthwhile, and you find the strength to continue.

Personal Success

I have worked hard my entire life because I strive for success. Throughout my life, I have paved my way in a variety of industries, including automotive, staffed event, direct mail marketing, and now, group fitness. My hard work has paid off because I have founded two successful businesses which allowed me to give back to my community as well as live a comfortable life. Due to my hard work, I have been able to purchase a 78’ Ferretti Yacht, named INDULGE. I have worked hard my whole life to achieve that, and now I have the luxury of traveling between New Orleans, Tampa, and Orange Beach on my yacht.

If you’re willing to work hard, challenge yourself, to put in the long hours, and to take a step back before making a giant leap forward – you’ll achieve anything you want to achieve!

This past weekend, David Jeansonne and his latest venture CHAMPS BOXING™️ sponsored the fourth annual Bursting with Speed 5k and half mile race!

CHAMPS BOXING™ Featured on WDSU-TV

I recently recognized a huge opportunity in our city for a group fitness program that conforms to literally everyone.  While group fitness will always be in a multi-person setting, the concept should focus on you as an individual.  My goal is to bring the community a revolutionized, safe way to get a great workout in a fun-for-all format—without the quick burnout that a vast majority of people hit after a few short months.  Most programs boast about creating a “lifestyle”, but then promise to get you “fit fast”.  I am after something better.  Much better.

A program unlike the standard, cookie-cutter franchise facilities that ask you to comply very specifically to their regimen burning out everyone except the most experienced fitness guru long before you reach that first level of fitness goals, much the second and third phases of fitness lifestyles. So, this new group fitness boxing craze has certainly surpassed the trendy stage.  There is something that is so individualized about you and that bag that seems to separate each person from the group—giving you the ability to “Leave It All On The Bag! ™”. After researching this Boxing-Inspired Group Fitness I saw my vision in this but it needed some tweaking, when someone told me “I think a water filled punching bag would really warrant the concept to cater to virtually everyone. Well,I never thought twice, I never looked back! I soon realized and proved this product Delivers the best workout possible.  If you’ve done it, you absolutely understand …If you haven’t, you are about to find out!

As the old saying goes “Don’t Over-think it” …Says who?! I have overthought every piece of this concept to deliver the best possible brand to our members, including the latest technology-driven, revolutionized, reinvented punching bag; The Hydroblast™ bag absorbs strikes, providing a life-like feel with no recoil impact with no joint pressure, unlike the traditional six foot tall sand filled bags that are basically obsolete. Now, they will soon be! We combined that incredible technology with a carefully designed layout, the best centralized location with more than enough parking, energetic color combinations, the easiest paperless finger vein membership software…Okay, you get it.

We are a 28 Bag studio that you will see is the perfect size to get that Group Fitness feel while not feeling like you’re working out in a crowded room. We even designed a customized timer that we put our handcrafted music playlists into that fit virtually every walk of life… Hence our Mission; to cater to “Everyday People”. You won’t find heavy metal or hardcore rap music in our classes, but you will hear everything in between. I have combed this city and others for an open floor plan facility that offered what I had in mind when it came to being kid friendly, as in truly kid friendly. I could not find one. On any given day you will find multiple children 3-12 years old dancing on our Retail Therapy™️ floor dancing to Don’t stop believing by Journey while their Mom or Dad…. or BOTH are Boxing and working out to it just 5 feet from them! Nowhere in this city or others will you find a facility where couples, siblings, and full families are all working out with friends (both old and new).  Everyone leaves laughing while they are dripping with sweat! …. Enough Said.

The location is 4650 West Esplanade Avenue near Clearview in Metairie, just minutes from any part of the city while avoiding the daunting trek and traffic down Veterans Boulevard.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

3 Helpful Tips for Starting a Business

Starting a business is challenging, and no successful entrepreneur starts a company overnight. While there is no perfect formula to follow to become a prosperous business owner, there are a few beginning steps that can set you up for long-term success. Here are my three helpful tips for starting a successful business.

1. Educate Yourself

Passion drives flourishing businesses, but no company can be successful without knowledge. This is why it’s vital to educate yourself on business practices and industry knowledge. Try to absorb everything that you can. Mike Kappel, the CEO of Patriot Software, LLC, recommends listening to what others have to say, including friends, family, and experts. By talking to others, conducting research and reaching out to experts in the field, you’ll gain helpful knowledge and advice. While you are learning, be sure to keep notes and start developing your business plans. Don’t forget to conduct research on target markets, estimate profits, and find out legal requirements. The more you learn initially will help develop your business success and hopefully prevent surprises down the road.

2. You’re Going to Need More Money

Cash flow is the lifeline of all businesses and an important measure of success, and you’re going need to a lot to start a company. Conducting research will help you determine how much it will cost for you to develop your product and service and what price you need to sell at to make money. Brad Sugars, the founder and chairman of ActionCOACH, suggests overestimating expenses and underestimate revenues. “I’ve never seen a startup business where expenses were at least 30 percent more than initially planned or anticipated, and revenues are at least that much less.” Sugars writes. It also may be necessary to contact investors for business funds.

3. Take Advantage of Free Resources

As a startup, you’re going to have limited funds, so take advantage of free resources. Whether you need help creating a website, developing a logo, or making business cards, there are so many free sources that you can use. There are free resources that can help build a business profile, create a website, develop social media practices, help track productivity, and even assist with accounting and payroll needs.

Becoming a business owner, especially a successful one, takes much more than just following these three tips. However, educating yourself, managing cash flows, and using free tools are great beginning steps to take. Success does not come overnight, but these tips can help get you started.

How To Maintain a Work-Life Balance While Becoming Successful

Maintaining a work-life balance as an entrepreneur or business owner can be very challenging, especially when it feels like you are “always on” the job. Advances in technology make it even harder to ignore emails, phone calls and leave work at the office.

Many people have a pre-established belief of what the “price of success” is, whether it’s earning a college degree or working more hours than the average employee. While these things certainly provide an advantage, the truth is that many successful entrepreneurs create a unique path to success, bypassing the social standards through discipline and extreme dedication to their business. Some have Master’s degrees, others have minimal schooling – but they all became extremely knowledgeable about their business through passion and experience.

“Don’t confuse schooling with education,” Elon Musk, founder, and CEO of SpaceX and co-founder and CEO of Tesla recently said. “I didn’t go to Harvard, but the people that work for me did.”

My path to success began when I dropped OUT of school in the 10th grade. I went on to build multiple successful businesses from scratch, including an industry-leading, 20-year automotive marketing firm in Traffic Jam Events. I did not develop these companies with a 9-5, 40-hour work week. Putting in extra hours to hone your craft is just one of the many sacrifices a successful entrepreneur often makes to get ahead of the thousands of competitors in their industry.

To be successful you will have to put in hard work and dedicate many hours, however if you follow these three tips, you will be able to somewhat maintain a work-life balance while also achieving your goals.

Unplug

If you feel like work always surrounds you, it’s because it is. Technology has made it so easy to be continually connected to work. However, it is critical to step away from emails and calls before they consume both your professional and personal life. Luckily, almost every piece of technology can either be turned off or set on do not disturb. When you are continually connected to work, you can’t devote yourself entirely to either your personal life or your work. If you do not set aside time for yourself, you will never be able to unplug.

Prioritize

It is essential to prioritize your tasks so you can get critical tasks done first. Making a list of everything that has to be completed today, this week and this month will help you prioritize. Lists help you understand what needs to get done during the day and getting it done first, thus preventing scrambling after hours to finish up. Don’t forget to prioritize yourself, your needs and your hobbies!

Set Boundaries

Be sure to set boundaries for yourself when it comes to personal and work time. There will always be more things to do. However, small things can be put off or even allocated to other people. If you do not set aside personal time, you will never be able to step away from the office.

A work-life balance can seem impossible to maintain because today’s technology makes business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees accessible around the clock. Unfortunately, we work extended hours, on the weekends, at home and on the move. Are there wealthy business owners who work 9-5 or less every day? Yes, and most of them enjoy those hours now because they powered through 80-100 hours a week when their business was merely an idea. Whether it takes one year or 20, the grind and discipline are significant factors in an entrepreneur’s success.

Ok, now that I wrote this and I truly mean it, if anyone knows how to help me actually do it please contact me ASAP. Until then I will thank and love my family for putting up with me…. and my phone!
